Caracol
de Viento

Can Mesoamerican cultural heritage be turned into forward-thinking inspirer? Caracol de Viento aimed to prove that the future can me carved out and shared from the past.

Hidden within cultural layers, the Mesoamerican cosmogonic myths conceal a basic creative principle: in order to (re)create the universe, Quetzalcoatl -the god of culture- had to overcome death by a playful and artful manouvre. This ended in the creation of human speech and the birth of a place for social and natural communion.

Thus, the idea of a god of culture gave us the key for the pavillion: culture must become a creative place. A place that calls out for an elemental ceremony: a human reunion that celebrates createvity; that conceives culture to be a beneficial exchange of nature itself.

The human being is the collective inventor of intersections. Of a joyful and healthy system for social and environmental interaction.
